A checkered grid of small squares in peachy pink and green is interrupted by a series of holes and bunches arranged in an “L” that runs along the bottom and left side.

Statement from the Artist

This is a study of the Drawnwork which is a subtractive embroidery technique that is very common in domestic linens. I'm interested in filtering these types of fine handiwork through the rag rug medium as a way of analyzing their structure and significance.
