Statement from the Artist

I made this with a combination of used fabric that I liked and didn’t want to throw out. The whole sock doesn’t wear out, just the heel or toes, so there is a lot of nice fabric left. The blanket also includes the printed part of T-shirts that I either made (EmmaGoldman, Christiane Amanpour) or had (David Wojnarowicz’s New Museum show, Mark Dion 2004 Election Shirt). I played with line and color in the stitching.
